Poison Ivy...
She had never gotten used to how much it annoyed her when the humans and other creatures of Zion dared call her that. Sure, she wished to be left alone more than anything, but something about the way they said the nickname attributed to her made her feel incredibly uncomfortable with herself, almost as if she was dirty inside. It hurt more than she probably understood, but even so, she merely brushed it away. Emotions like that were never meant for someone like her. She did not need those.
All comfort, calm and warmth she could ever wish for were provided by the forest she had made her sanctuary a long time ago. The tree branches were her arms, the roots her feet, the flower petals her hair, the tiny soft grass her 'core'. She could never voice how much this space meant to her. It was her space and her space alone. Her home. She wanted nothing but to remain there in peace. It was all she ever thought about ever since she could remember.

White light streaked a bit through the sky before coming to a stope puttering off into the night sky like a burnt up meteor. Except this was no meteor, Ariel always hated breaching it was the most dizzying part about the see of stars, getting used to the gravity of a planet wasn't too much fun either. Aiming her landing into a nice lake deciding it would be the best place to wait out the storm in the sea of stars. The big splash as a result of her landing sprinkling water to the plants all around. She was under the water for a bit before breaching it letting out a huff "ugh.... owww, rough landing this time" swimming to the shore where she began to check herself, mostly cuts and bruises noting major grimacing though when she touched a now askew scale "tch- oww... stupid meteor storm" quickly pulling out the scale which shimmered and glowed "well better a scale then my neck" gently rubbing her tail as she set the scale aside then began to look around "Where... where the sea of stars am I?"

While tending to a small flower recently grown nearby her resting place, Ivy could not help but notice someone had come to disrupt her peace. Her fingers passing calmly on the flower's petals, as if she was a mother reassuring her baby she'd come home safe and sound later, the plant creature stood up, her pale eyes glancing into the distance as she started to feel what had fallen amongst her flowery world.
Narrowing her eyes as she noticed the presence of what seemed to be a Sirenian, Ivy merged with the tree leaves scattered across the forest before regaining her form behind Ariel, an apathetic look on her face as she examined her. "What are you doing in this place, Sirenian?"

Ivy kinda got the jump on the young Sirenian as she nearly swam out of her scales at the sound of the voice, instinctively diving into the water only to pop back out just her head as she looked at Ivy blinking at the sight before her. This was... new... she didn't remember this species from anything her mother taught her or anyone else in her pod. But she was notably wary, the Sirenian was a bit banged up, she probably got caught in the meteor shower that was playing upon the nights sky right now and had to come in planet or risk severe injury possibly death to get out of the shower.
Ariel continued to stare at her for a moment before pulling herself a bit more on shore "you... know what a Sirenian is?... then you've met one of my kind before? I- kinda crashed, forgive me I had to breach a little fast because of the star storm"

Ivy turned around, as if feeling uncomfortable for staring at the other red head in the eyes. Something about it made what would be her veins compress and the circulation of matter inside her slow down, giving her almost dizzyness. She was really not used to dealing with others. She got more nervous than what she could ever expect, apparently.
"I can't say I have, actually." she whispered in her soft tone, looking at her hands with slight boredom now, her voice barely audible, as if she was speaking to herself. "My core simply remembers your kind. I can not brag about such knowledge as I do not remember anything but being in this place."
Walking forward, she began raising her arms so that the vegetation formed some sort of stairs that allowed her to stand on a tree's branch, where she walked delicately, almost as if she had forgotten Ariel was there, even though she did look at the sirenian every now and then.
"You survived such a fall, did you?" she asked, her eyes now meeting Ariel for more than just an instant. "That is certainly remarkable..."

Ariel watched the woman surprised and amazed but what she could do slowly coming more and more out of the water till her tail was visible again which she splashed against the water for fun "Your... core?..... are the other inhabitants of this planet like you? and im alive but hurting I dont think I will be able to swim to well for a while" showing Ivy a few of her banged up scales.

"Yes. My core." Ivy murmured to herself as she placed her hand in the middle of her chest, looking down at it in an almost curious fashion. "You can say it is the equivalent to what other beings might call their 'heart' or their 'mind'. Most of my emotions, memories or other aspects come from here. My species regenerates after death from old age or lack of nutrients. When the conditions are good for a rebirth...a new Nemusgnati is born. Most times it contains memories from its former self...in my case, I remember alot of species..."
Looking at Ariel, she slowly came down from the tree she was in before placing her hand on the sirenian's tail. "So I take it that it hurts..."

Ariel perked up listening to all this becoming enthralled by the story before she smiled nodding her head enthusiastically to what Ivy said appreciating what she was learning. Before seeing her come down and move to touch her tail. Ariel moved back at bit withdrawing her tail from touch "gah... apparently you remember species but not culture, yes it hurts... please don't touch it, it will heal on its own" blushing a bit like Ivy had almost touched something more private rather then just a tail.

Ivy stared calmly at Ariel, slightly taken aback my her strange reaction to something as simple as a mere touch.
"Culture is irrelevant to me, to be honest." she murmured almost without any hint of emotion as she kept staring at the sirenian's tail with moderate interest. "It just fades away and changes in time. It is pointless to connect to something bound to die..."
Looking at the girl's eyes, she sat next to her, wondering on why she hadn't been hostile to Ariel yet. "Do you have a name?"

The young alien woman sat up looking to Ivy with Curiosity and wariness more then anything else. Her tail was an ocean green but vibrant and almost shinning like stardust the scale left on the rock reflecting light in a rainbow pattern, quite lovely. But Ariel seemed to calm down when the other creature mentioned a name "Ariel..." she said softly "You know you kinda remind me of a flower I saw once, very pretty but my mother told me it was poisonous so I avoided it" Noticing Ivy's eyes going back to her tail she blushed pulling her tail to her body "Didn't your core teach you its rude to stare? by the heart of the sea my face is up here"

"Not all of us happen to be poisonous, really. It depends on wether we live in a contaminated area or if our former self already had attained such abilities before forming us." she murmured calmly, a blank look in her eyes when Ariel seemed to regain a more timid and even scared demeanor towards the entire situation. She looked at the eyes of the sirenian with confusion, unsure of what to think or say as all this peculiar girl did was completely out of the blue. Or at least she thought it was.
"Ariel..." she then whispered, as if trying to make sure she was pronouncing the sirenian's name correctly. Nodding after a while, she continued to stare at Ariel, avoiding looking at her tail. It was a sensitive topic apparently. "The humans here have taken to calling me 'Poison Ivy'. Even though I dislike it...I can say I've accepted it. I do not remember my original name..."

"Poison Ivy.... sounds like a weed" she said quite plainly before smiling up at her "I'll call you Red instead because of your hair, it matches mine" grinning at her as she shows off her hair. before moving up to Ivy as she leaned in now "I've never seen one of your race though its interesting" giggling before pushing up to actually start swimming in the air moving around Ivy.

Ivy stared at Ariel with a raised eyebrow, crossing her legs while she supported herself with her hands on the vegetation below her. "Red? Is that not reminescent of fire? Still..." She murmured, looking down with a calm expression. "I do like how it sounds..." "And I am a Nemusgnati. It means 'Child of the Forest'..."
