Asami jumped to the side when she got that chilly feeling up her back that something was too close. She wasn't able to jump more than a couple of feet to the side and stay down so she could try to protect her head. All she had around would instantly fall if that big building hit the structure so she just hoped for the best.
As the bits of the impact hit her and the ground around her, she thought she would die there and she felt a grip around her heart thinking about all she'd miss. But then silence came. She opened her eyes and coughed with all the dust that the fall had caused, realizing she had a few broken ribs. She got up and tried to see beyond the cloud that blurred her sight. She knew where she had come from and she started walking that way. It was dark and that didn't help too. She thought about screaming to know if everyone else was alright but she thought that if someone'd caused that, she'd just be giving them their position. ~
She kept limping, trying to make as less noise as possible and trying to locate the hole.

Diana exhaled in relief when Gantu fit into the fissure, and when he said he was alright. Of course, Diana'd make sure he went to the medical bay as soon as they got back . . .
Nodding her head at Proteus, glad that he'd had the foresight to bring along the flashlight, Diana looked around, her eyes widening when she realized Asami was missing. Diana cursed under her breath.
"Either this will prove to be our advantage, as she can dig us out or go for help, or she's in serious danger out there," Diana said, frowning.

The creatures where starting to make noise, somethign that sounded like something between screams and laughter, that only grew louder the darker it got. They stayed out of sight, and moved unnoticed throguh the darkness, sometimes close enough to smell their 'visitours' only for the next second to drew back and let out more cries that echoud through the old buildings, never letting them get a real look at what exactly was. The shadows were toying with them. As Asami passed one certain rock, something rose up from the shadows, walking unheard close behind her, growing larger and wider with each step closer it took to the young woman.

Proteus's eyes narrowed as he heard the cracked cackles of the demonic shadows, cursing under his breath to how frustrating this whole situation was getting. He had to help Asami, or at least to get her out of here without losing his head. She could handle herself, but he realized that old habits did die hard. Harder than he could ever wish for. It was a real bother to have to deal with such feelings.
Looking through the narrow gaps of the fissure, he frowned at their movements, poiting hsi light so that maybe some creature would see it and go there. If they destroyed the building, they might escape. Either that or they'd die. Asami could also see it and maybe that way they could escape.

Asami, with her left side almost numb from the pain, stopped moving after a couple of minutes of limping through the hard path. She felt uncomfortable. Like a thousand eyes were resting on her back. Her lungs failed her for a few seconds and she inhaled loudly as she turned her head back. There was nothing there. At least not something she could see. She turned around and back to her path she went.
She saw a small, almost indistinguishable yellow light in the background. She moved faster along the fallen rocks until she abruptly stopped. This time she didn't care to look back. She let out a unabiding scream when she was certain something moved near her. She pulled her gun and watched her hand shake as she pointed it to the dark. She didn't feel comfortable at all. She didn't feel herself at all. The dark was creeping her out in a way she would never imagine something would.

Gantu could barely look through the crack that Proteus was flashing the light through, but he could see that Asami wasn't alone out there. So seeing how he was the First Mate and responsible for all those below him in rank, AKA everyone here, he had to do something. "Stand aside, Proteus," Gantu commanded, moving towards the crack in the opening. "I'm getting us out of here." He then proceeded to push stones out of the way with his uninjured arm, actually making some progress and launching one of the smaller boulders at the shadow creature to make it back off.

Diana stepped back to allow Gantu room. He was by far the strongest one of them there, and though she would have helped under normal circumstances, there wasn't enough room for her to dislodge rocks as well. So Diana stood back, her mouth set in a thin, grim line as she heard the creature outside, keeping a calm composure, though she was impatient for them to get out and aid their fellow soldier.

When Asami screamed, the shadow let out a pirecing cry itself that could e heard through out the whole ruins, and vanished back into the darkness, only to later step out of Asami's own shadow and cover her in it's own lurry, blackness, as if trying to swallow her up with shadows, away from the bright lights the two moon's where giving the abononded ruins.

Diana tensed when she heard the creatures shriek, and her hands balled up into fists as she waited impatiently. Asami was in danger out there, and they were just standing here, helpless.

Gantu was able to move another rock out of the way from the top of the fissure entrance. It wasn't big enough for him to get through yet, but it was definitely enough for his companions to escape. "Get out," Gantu commanded, kneeling down and making a ramp of himself so that his fellow Marines could get to the opening, escape and save Asami. "I'll get out of here soon enough, but action must be taken now!"

Proteus was amazed at how resilient Gantu was proving himself to be. His arm had pratically been crushed in the battle that was now ensuing, and yet he still managed to open up some space for them to escape. True marksmanship. There was a reason why he was the First Mate, after all. Nodding with assertivity, Proteus passed through the little gap, looking at Diana as he expected her to follow.
"Try and stay close to Gantu! We may not be able to escape alone, so we should rely in numbers. He is far too vulnerable and we can't lose him." he said with determination, looking at Asami. He was slightly disrupting Gantu's orders, but he did not really want to have any casualties here. Looking around, he saw horrified what was occurring to Asami, which only made his blood pump faster, adrenaline controlling him. He then realized the beings were materialising in the darkness. This could be an advantage. Opening his pack, he threw a flashbang at Diana and nodded, as if telling her she had to use it. Verbalizing an explanation'd be good too. "The creatures appear to manifest out of darkness. Flash them away should you need it. I count on you."
That said, he darted towards Asami, being careful where he stepped in. In spite of his training, he was not prepared to follow something quick and silent. No noise was really made here. Darkness was a true enemy for him here.

Asami turned around as fast as her damaged torso allowed her and held her gun with both hands, pointing to the place she thought the sound came from. The excruciating sound that certainly affected her hearing. She blinked trying to adjust her sight to the darkness, to only realize the more she tried, the less she was able to see. The space around her gradually turned pitch black, making her feel a little desperate.
Not knowing her companions were getting out of the hole, she tried to free herself with gunshots. Sure she couldn't hit anyone, she fired her now heavier gun not really caring where to, since she was immerged in total darkness and that was all she wanted to get rid off.
The little feeling of protection she had left vanished as her gun fired it's last bullet.

The more Asami fired, the more and thicker the shadows seemed to grew around her. When the she had fired the last bullet, as if it had been on cue, gigantic claw looking shadows shot up from the ground she was standing on and wrapped tightly around her ankles, quickly crawling up her body and making it almost impossible for her to move, then started to drag her down into the blackness below her.
As Proteus had dashed towards Asami, other and multiply shadows from all around had started to crawl out and up around the fissure, surronding the two marines left, watching them closely before leashing out from everywhere, at the same time.

Asami dropped her useless gun and looked down, unable to see what was grabbing her but feeling it's tight grip around her members. She tried to move and desperately break free from the darkness around her. She tried to see past the veil that isolated her from the rest of the world and it only made her more anxious and feel more helpless. Were the other ones safe? She honestly hoped that what was happening wasn't happening to anyone else.
Whatever was grabbing her pushed her down bluntly and she heard a scream that she quickly realized it was her own.

Proteus's march towards Asami was soundly interrupted by the manifestation of the nefarious dark creatures surrounding the are. He cursed lowly to himself, his eyes moving around the area, trying to spot any sort of movement, any possible hint of hostility to no avail. He was undoubtfully lost in the dark. Alone in the dark. That was very bad. He had no one to back him up, nor did Asami.
Her ear splicing scream broke his concentration even more, driving him increasingly nervous as he dug his hand into his belt and removed his gun, firing into the air, hoping the noise would scare the odd beasts away.
