Edward walked inside the storage area, reading the enourmous list of supplies he'd need when leaving to scout the island. He really wished he'd have something better to do than to work as a simple message boy. He was a doctor, after all, and wished to be treated as such. Everything was becoming quite a bother to him since they landed in the island. That'd be his death, sooner or later. EVen if he never did admit it, he craved for action and adventure. It made things interesting for once.
As he opened several doors and took various flasks, he sighed, his hand passing on the back of his head while he inspected everything around him.

Loki sighned to himself for what must've been the hundredth time that day. No matter what he did, or where he went on this forsaken broken ship, he either got molested, threathend or almost beaten up. If their captain hadn't orderd them to keep him alive, he would've been jumping around on one leg y now, or not even jumping at all. But still....even though everyone on this crew was crazy (one way or the other) he's still learnign so many new things. Just sucks he has to pay with a fist to his face or run for his life everytime. And they didn't take a liking to his way of telling them off either. Even pirates where sensitive it would seem, he really should learn how to stop talking, before they really do sew his mouth shut for real.
Seeing a door that look to lead to a good hiding place, he casually opened it and stepped inside, waiting until one of his 'followers'wlaked past the door before turning around to see where he had ended up this time. Storage room. With anouther crew member. A short one. Keep your words in control this time Loki. "From what I've gatherd, you must be the medic... right?" he asked casually as he inspected Ed quickly, looking at the young man's arm with ineterest. "You're shorter than I expected."

Edward raised his eyebrow as he noticed someone manifest in the area. Peeking over the materials he had in his arms, he noticed a young boy standing before him. So this was the Loki everyone was talking about? Was he another slave? He pitied this crew, so late and put back in their methods. Sighing, he was about to speak when the 'S word" was said out loud. A small vein popped from his forehead as he glared at Loki with killing intent.
"What is the problem of me not packing a few more inches of height?" he murmured between his teeth as his arms shook, trying to contain his rage.

Raising an eyebrow at the sudden rage coming from the other short male, Loki couldn't contain a small smile to show. Well, better keep a certan word to himself around this guy... "Nothing at all, just couldn't help but notice," he shrugged casually before walking over, taking a look around. "Is it really the wisest for the doctor to leave and explore?" he asked with a titled head, staring at the list in curiosity.

Edward breathed in as the fire inside his lungs slowly escaped his body. That way he'd at least stay calm for a little longer. Shrugging, he picked up his stuff looking at Loki. "You'd be surprised at how idiotic these pirates are. Sure, I'll die, but they will lick their wounds. All will be well. This is their logic...utter stupidity, I say."
Walking past Loki, he looked at him up and down and raised an eyebrow. "Why are you here, anyway? Any sane person'd scram."

"I could ask you the same," he asked back, expression blank ashe stared back at Edward. "With what you just said and atitude, you're not exactly pirate material." Inviting himself to follow along, he casually wlaked up to stand eside the other young man, for once not feeling looked down on beaucse of his hight. Much. "Well, i'm not what anyone would call 'sane', so i guess i'll fit right in here," he shrugged.

"Who said I wanted to be here? I just like paying debts. I'd have died in jail if it weren't for these guys. I owe them something more. I guess a few years of servitude will not hurt. Especially if I don't kill anyone for the hell of it." he murmured, trying to go up the stairs, his eyes sometimes darting to the side as if he wanted not to trip down the stairs.
"Sanity is not a thing you can use as an excuse. You'll get killed if you are sane or insane, so, I'd advise you to follow whatever keeps you alive. Or if you go into something really stupid...have it done for something that'll matter."

Loki kept his unreadble expression on while closely following the other, both listening and being lost in his own head. His gaze travled bewteen the stairs and the stuff Ed was trying to carry. He smiled again at Ed's last sentence. "You talk as if you'd care waht would happen to me," he said brightly, knowing that wan't true but was amused none the less. "But i'll follow your advice if that makes you less grumpy, did that 's' word really offend you that much?" he chuckled and moved to stand slightly infront of him. "You need a hand with that?"

"Not really. I have a cybernetic prothesis for something, you know?" Ed asked with a small grin as his brown eyes gazed at Loki. Something about the boy amused him. The fact that both were very short probably helped with that reality. Even so, this made it all the more interesting. Finally he had a smart person around him. He frowned for a second at the last commentary, though, poiting a finger at the boy. "I dislike it. Just that."

Loki returned the grin, and just kept watching the other carry everythingby himself. Ed did have a point there. Wonder if his cybernetic's were anythign like Silver's. He barley held bakc a grin at Ed's response. "Well, can't really blame you for that," he snickerd. "Although you should try and contain that temper of yours. ...maybe that's why they accepted you in the crew?" he thought out loud.

"Probably. That and the fact that I happen to be smarter than the average man. Before you say I am full of myself, remember: it ain't bragging if you can back up what you say!" he smirked at him, his chocolate brown eyes softly narrowing, albeit in an amused tone for he was actually amused by this young boy.
"Hey...why not side with the Marines for this one?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

Loki returned the smirk at Edward, looking just as amused as he did. "Wouldn't dream of it," he chuckled and held his hands up in mock surrender, and shrugged at his next question. "I got tricked to the wrong side, and am currently finding myself to attached to try and sneak away," he said simple, with no regret whatsoever.

"That is something I'd curse every single day." Edward retorted with a shrug as he put things away, removing his shirt. He stared at his cybernetic implant and frowned as he moved the arm. "Well, this is getting rusty. I need to put it to good use, actually."
Looking up at Loki, a mischievous idea came across his mind. "Hey, Loki? Have you ever stolen a small jet-boat?"

Watching the cybernetic implant with interesst, he blinked, slightly taken aback by the question, befroe grinning to himself. "Pfft. If I have? I'm the only one around here who was stupid and bored enough to that," he chuckled, before realization hit him. "Um, just an advice, you better not be planning on taking a sailing trip..." he said with a blank expression.

"Oh I'm not getting outta here. Are you kidding? I'd die in outer space! Oh no no. I have a much more fun idea. It's all in the name of science, and therefore, it is universally correct!" he assured with a smirk. "Let's just say there are some materials I'd like to collect before they send me to certain death."
Walking to Loki, he put his metal arm on his waist. "I'd hate to go alone and die there, so some support would be nice..."
