Jasmine made her way down the street towards her house, after clubbing with some of her friends she needed a walk. Her mom would not be happy that she had been drinking so she was trying to walk it off. She frowned though when she neared her home, was that a Marine vessel? She hurried faster and then ran inside, she stopped dead however when she saw her parents being handcuffed. "What's going on?" She asked quietly, her eyes moving around and landing on John...her dad's bodyguard...and was he putting handcuffs on him?

John hadn't wanted Jasmine to see this, he wished he could have spared her this but at least her own life would be spared. "Jasmine, I can explain ok?" He said as he looked up at her. He felt terrible for having lied to her, she would no doubt hate him now...and the plans in store for her.

He winced and then moved to guide her out of the room as some of the other Marines were looking over at him. Once they were in a more private setting he released her, "I'm a Marine Jasmine." He said quietly as he avoided looking at her, "I was enlisted two years ago to look into your family, I've been keeping an eye on your parents and they are doing all sorts of bad deals Jasmine." He said as he turned to look at her.

Jasmine couldn't quite believe her ears, "You...you lied to me?" She asked as she felt her heart sink into the bottom of her stomach. "How...how could you? I..I trusted you!" She snapped at him as she pulled away from him.

He reached out for her but stopped the gesture mid-way through, "Listen Jasmine, I, I didn't know you then. But now I do and I-" He broke off, how could he tell he loved her? He sighed, "I had no choice Jasmine, I did it for you!" He said desperately.

Jasmine didn't even hesitate, she slapped him "If you had done this for me, you would have told me the truth." She hissed as she stared at him hatefully.

When she slapped him he was stunned for a few moments and reached up to touch his face where she had slapped him. "I wanted too, I just wasn't sure how too." He admitted as he turned to look at her with a pleading look in his eyes.

He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him, "Jasmine, you can't leave, if you do you'll be arrested for aiding and abetting your parents." He said as he stared at her desperately, "However if you were to...marry me then you could be safe from going to prison." He added hastily before he got down on the ground on one knee. "So Miss Jasmine Abriella Montez, will you marry me?" He asked as he slowly met her gaze.

She ripped her hand free and stared down at him with disgust, "How could you even ask me that?" She asked darkly as she stepped back from him. "I would rather die a thousand times then ever be your wife." She spat as she turned and started to leave.

He slowly got up and approached her, "You're being unreasonable Jasmine, please marry me." He said as he grabbed her and held her against him before bending down and kissing her on the lips.
(I can just see Jas kicking his ass for this XDD)

Her eyes widened with fury as he kissed her and she kneed him in the groin before shoving him away from her. Angry tears fell down her face before she turned and fled, she had to get away from here.

He doubled over, well that was stupid of me he thought darkly before he straightened and followed after her. "Jasmine, wait!" He called after her as he followed her.

"Don't you dare follow me!" She yelled at him over her shoulder as she wiped at her eyes, the last thing she wanted was him trying to plant one on her again...urgh and right after her parents had been arrested too.
